I went that route myself. Found a nice senco twin tank for around 70 including airline. We ran them like dogs and abused them on construction sites. Framing/roofing wouldn't matter they filled back...

it's called not paying a premium for the luxury of having better tire size choices. 15's are limited now, 17's and up are not as much.
Personally I would do the same to get away from the stock 15's...
