Collapsed front right brake hose?

Good thread, I'm due for a new steering gear and just plan on going Redhead to avoid this exact type of hassle.

I think its the H/L shift fork that'll break, sometimes leaving you stuck in neutral and going nowhere... Figure this out quick so you don't roast that case, rebuilding it is easy and not that...

No he's talking about the axle beam pivot bushings. The other bushing that gets neglected..

10mpg seems realistic for your combo empty. It's about what my 96' gets with 1000lbs on the flatbed with OD off (351W/E4OD) and 33" tires with 3.55 ratio axles.

Those rear spring hangers are in rough shape! If I were you, I'd go with new leaf packs, new shackles, new rear hangers, new U-bolts, and possibly new front hangers. Just cut all the rotten junk out...

I have 33x10.5 on my 96' half ton, with 1.6" front lift, but I didn't change bump stops. I can fully stuff the front tires and not hit the inner fenders. Bumper is spaced out 5/8". I do get slight...

New leaf pack, like that for an F-250, but then remove your factory 2" lift block in the rear when you install the new leaves. Remember though, you have a half ton truck, a load of gravel is very,...

I'd vote 4.56:1 for 35's and a 302 rather than 4.10:1. The 302 needs to wind out a bit more than a 351 or big block, so gear it to do so. Not my words, but "never fear the gear".

Because the injector has to overcome cylinder pressure to actually inject fuel. If the cylinder pressure is 3k psi, and the injector only puts out 2500 psi of fuel, the fuel isn't going to find it's...

Yeah something isn't right. Or your memory isn't very good. People make tall claims about torque of a 300. Dyno chart is the easy way to see what's really going on. 351 makes more torque than the 300...

T-50 bit required for the four bolts. When re-installing the rear extension housing just use some permatex ultra gray or equivalent for sealing (there's no gasket).
