I used Drewskis how to to tackle this myself and can attest the tabs hold it just fine. There is zero adverse affects like jiggling or anything like that. Solid as stock I'd say.

That's the oem grill with the recess modification done to the headlamp buckets and 56 trim rings. It's posted on the HAMB site. I think I might have seen it trickle around here once as well.
