Too little tongue weight will cause sway. You can load cars on backwards, but sometimes it's hard to get enough weight forward. Had that issue with the F350 carcass I towed to the scrap yard. Loaded...

Pickup and C&C axles have different spring perch widths, 37" for the pick-up and 34" for the C&C. I also believe the SRW, DRW and C&C axle widths from backing plate to backing plate are different.

460 will be simpler.

302's are generally good for about 4-500hp before bad things happen. A 460 will handle near twice that.

Horsepower is a function of the energy release from the fuel and...

83 was the start, but not all 83's got the hydraulic clutch. I think it was the 460 first. 84-86 all had them. I've learned to look for the clutch master cylinder to the right of the booster.

I...

They should be about 31-32" in diameter, so about 10% if I remember.

I'd go over that truck with a fine tooth comb. I suspect you'll find a lot of shall we say "interesting" work done to it.

I watched both videos and he claims 400hp, but the truck doesn't run...

Because they didn't start using those heads till 88. They just designed them in 87 thus the E7 designation. Sometimes they do get used the same year like the 5.0 in 87 has the E7 heads as well. It...

Last couple I did I used Motive gear and had good luck.

4.30 gears would be technically correct, but the 35's are heavier. I'd lean in the direction of 4.56 gears. 4.10 are good for 33's but may...

The part design came into being in 87, but was also used for later years. F3TE was the next major revision on the 460 heads which is 93. 88 to I'm pretty sure 92 used the E7 head. 87 was still carb'd...

BTW, it's an I6 not a V6. Its inline or also called a straight six. Much better for trucks than a V6.
