The 449 is a 30 spline, the 459 is 35 spline. 99-04 use 30 spline stock but can be converted to 35 spline. 05+ have 35 spline from the factory. Ignore the dana 70 part, they are making that up.

They are not the same. 38r is ballbearing, larger wheel, larger inlet, etc. Good luck with rebuilding a 38r. When rebuild kits do surface they are usually as much or more than a new 38r.
