My E99 has the big round RV plug with the 4 pin flat right next to it. Looks factory to me. Was there when I bought it. I am assuming yours doesnt have it? And here I figured all 3/4 & 1 tons...

It should start with the ICP unplugged as it just goes into "default" mode...and you are correct in that if its oily then it needs to be replaced. The membrane that separates the oil inside the head...

Simplest thing to do next is check the HPOP oil level. Need to be within 3/4 inch from the top.
Your issue sounds like fuel starvation. So a low oil level means injectors not getting fuel...

If you had oil in the ICP sensor, (On the drivers side head), then it need to be replaced. That oil in there will cause bad readings. It should be dry.
