The truck likely had a 330 or 361 FT engine that died, and the 359 was available. It's the same block, same bell, so it's a bolt in swap.

Ah, good to know. If anyone needs exhaust work stop by Do Rite Auto Repair in Kent. Corner of 84th and 212, just behind the Chevron. I also heard the have a mechanic who knows a little about IDIs.

I don't think the lines can be put on backwards, but if the fluid was flowing through in the wrong direction odd things could happen.

IIRC, there is a groove that the bolt fits into on the shaft, as long as the bolt is through this groove the coupler is in the correct position on the shaft.

An exhaust shop can do a pressure test to see which one is clogged, but it is probably the front one since there were two misfiring cylinders on that bank.
