As far as I know 05 excursion hubs are the same as every 99-05 excursion or 99-04 super duty (though some are esof and some are manual of course). 05 and newer super duties use almost completely...

My truck weighs 8270 lbs and I tow a 5 ton trailer. Allowing for ten (let's be realistic fifteen or so) percent tongue weight that's close to 5 tons on my truck.
Would load range d's work? Sure....
