Where have you heard that people are having problems with Motorcraft oil? Motorcraft is an excellent oil made by ConocoPhillips and works great. It holds up just as well as any other syn blend oil....

I ran across this truck at a dealer recently. 2009 XL V-10 with a 6 speed, vinyl floor, crank windows. I had a hard time walking away from it. If I had the money, it probably would be in my driveway...

I would go ahead and install the tapered blocks. On my truck, even the factory blocks are tapered. They measure 3 7/8" at the rear of the block, and 3 1/2" at the front.

So you're just wanting to replace your engine because it has "high mileage"? How many miles are we talking here? 5.4s will usually last over 500K miles, and have been known to break the one million...

I don't think the 5.4 came in the 450/550. V-10 would have been the only gas option. However, I do know that you could get the 5.4 in a DRW F-350.
