That's what I suspected, however I do like that style plug with the indicator and rubber cover. Hopefully it is an easy fix like swapping a wire. I will go check that out and report back!

Interestingly, it looks like both transfer cases failed at the same spot. I wonder if that's due to what failed internally, or if that point is just the path of least resistance?
