Wouldn't you have to swap out the master for one...

Wouldn't you have to swap out the master for one that is used on the booster?
Or do you just pop the pedal linkage off the master that you have?

If the truck is a 73-79 dentside get the whole box and arm assembly and be done with it.
Mixing and matching boxes and arms will drive you crazy. If you're switching to discs get the drag links etc....

The part numbers show that the gears came from 80's era trucks
No go for your truck.

Did you mount the pump as close to the tank as possible?
Pumps like to push, not pull.
What psi is the pump rated at?
I use a Carquest E8012S for most of my toys and they work great.
