remove and inspect the new bleeder screw for a manufacturing defect. if it looks ok, then perhaps it wasn't screwed down all the way. put it back in and try to get it to seat properly.

5.8 cracked thermostat housing ?

the ignition switch (white box) has oval mounting...

the ignition switch (white box) has oval mounting holes which allow for some adjustment. loosen them, slide the switch up the column a bit, then tighten and see if you have gotten anywhere.
