Sorry, no quick help, but I'm pretty sure all TTB Dana 44 use the same axle. Should be an easy score from the wrecker.

Kit from Summit will do just fine.

Your axle code is 19 which is 3:55 open. Some 83's still had the 9 inch, your earlier pics show an 8.8 which will work with your Summit kit.

T5 is not a truck transmission. May hold up strengthwise in a 2WD F150, but ratios may not be appropriate for your use.

Something caused the bang and damaged the harness. Maybe look for broken engine/transmission mounts?
