F1 original seat frame

Has anyone eliminated the original springs on an F1 and put a solid base and foam to replace it? If so I would like to see it. My springs are toast. Thanks to any and all responses.

Are you talking about the road draft tube? Maybe overfilled the oil. check the fluid level. Also make sure you have the right dipstick.

That's not quite true, I have a golf bag full of clubs in the attic of my garage and some really nice white wing tip foot joy's hanging on the wall. They don't quite fit in with the old truck.

I agree, I put new seals on my 56 one time and had to slam the crap out of the door to get it to shut. I thought I was going to break the glass also. Go for the better ones.

I recently replaced my front and rear fenders and running boards with fiberglass . Any Idea how much weight was lost? Probably not enough to be significant. Just wondering, I'm sure someone knows.
