I don't really get what you're trying to do. The Duraspark Ignition is already electronic. Wiring the distributor directly to the coil won't work, you won't get any spark.

When I was 26 I bought a new '77 F250 Ranger XLT, paid $7,806.00 for it. Wish I would have kept it. All I have left of it is the original sales receipt.
