A mechanic here posted a while back when I had my first caliper issues that all the brands did it. It depended on roads and driving habits.. I've had other brands that did it too.

I called my Napa dealer and he didn't have them...

I called my Napa dealer and he didn't have them listed. Odd. I ordered one from Napa online and reserve red to store. 10% today sale. Got the new one listed with lifetime warranty. $179.. worth it.

Starter was stuck or frozen today..

I don't know if it got water in it from driving 500 miles in rain and slush snow then temps dropped,etc. or it's getting old. 105 k now. Tapping at it it seemed to start it.

I would think they could put in another sensor...

I would think they could put in another sensor for redundancy. If one fails it can read the other and keep going. A code can come on to tell you one went and give you time to prepare.
