too much on these ford motors being held together by rust, paint, dirt, to go down...

you need to check the low and med rpm output...

you need to check the low and med rpm output rating of high output alternators as they tend to infact have high output...but only at upper RPMs...and in fact due to the thicker wire used in the coil...

My 2008 f-350 DRW v-10 4.11 gets better mpg than my previous 2005 f-250 5.4, 2001 navigator 5.4, 2000 exposition 5.4. But I did not by an f-350 v-10 4.11 DRW for better mpg.

10w30 is too thick for that temp. Switch to 5w20 or even one of the newer 0w20 or 0w30 oils.

And yes, you can get an oil filter for the v10 with anti drain ....but I think the issue on both...

a 2002 2wd empty rear axle is 2644, so some % of laiden wieght (pac's, gas, etc) + goose neck wieght has to be less than 2566

a 2002 4wd empty rear axle is 3144, so...

battery state of charge drops with temp. so even a new battery could be at a low state f charge. Theres plenty of room under the passenger side to add a second battery box like one from an E-350...

this would be a nice upgrade...would love something with a drain valve....would store extra gas (power and emergency equipment fuel) in the truck instead of 5 gallon cans.
