If you let the truck idle and 'crack' each injector line, one by one, you will hear the engine start to lope as that cyl isn't producing power.
If you crack one and the engine sound doesn't...

To be fair, this is how *all* mobile hydraulic systems work(tractors, Bobcats etc). When the valve is in the middle position, there is no flow. This is why, when things get old, you do get...

See if it cranks. If it cranks, you're not seized.
Chances are, you'd know it if it was about to seize, and these engines don't tend to fail that way.

At 2400RPM, with heavy throttle, are you smoking slightly from the tailpipe? If you are, you may be able to adjust the timing somewhat and improve it a little.
If not, you should adjust the fuel...

There are also other factors with this:
1. Would it make since to get an injector pressure tester and use patched-together JY injectors?
2. Could you get away with JY IPs, for say $100 vs $600 for...

You'll probably be fine. For one thing, I suspect the 30.6GPH number is somewhat high, and your 15GPH rating on the filter is way low -- at what pressure are we talking about? A filter will always...

Y'know, wouldn't it be just as easy to rig up two PS pumps? Probably cheaper than a PTO driven pump, too. You'd want to use remote-reservoir PS pumps, and put together a tank for the fluid; simple...

Injectors are relatively cheap, and they /do/ wear out. They should be considered a wear item, and changed every 100K for best results. Fortunately, in our engines a leaking injector won't usually...

I'd say it's a good deal... looks like a nice truck to me.
I'd try to get it down a few hundred, though; just because. Or have him throw something else in; do some haggling.
