For my '37 Buick they used the running boards as the antenna, the boards were insulated from the car by ceramic type insulators. From what I've read they didn't work very good, signal would change...

It's not a stock item but the mounting point is...

It's not a stock item but the mounting point is the large threaded stud. You make a bracket behind the dash with a simple piece of sheet metal that is screwed to the bottom lip of the dash.
