I bet just flashing the ECU on a F-150 would render the same if not better numbers, I think the guys are right, lower octane is better for most users.

This is only true if you're replacing a 3-bolt cap auto locking hub. 5-bolt cap are direct swaps and won't require the spindle nut replacement. In the opposite way, just get some 5-bolt cap locking...

PCV valve could be blocked, or the engine might be on its last leg. Check the airbox under the air filter, is there oil there too?. That engine seems gone to me, but I would have to actually open it...

Maybe contacting Warn again, have you checked that everything is fitting in right?. Remember the pin in the spindle nut has to be inside the safety washer or the fit won't be correct.

Don't reuse it, it isn't just rust that makes them fail, it's fatigue and rust. It will eventually snap and probably take the rear window with it... ask me how I know... If you think you can handle...
