Nicely done 278. I haven't seen a transmission cross member mount like that, mine is bolted directly to the bottom flange of the frame rail. Wonder if it is a 78-79 change?

I would suggest getting or making an adjustable pushrod so you can determine what length you actually need. Good luck with your project.

The big trucks have to follow the 55 rule, but I thought all pick up trucks and motor homes could do the higher speed limit.

Yeah like I say, about 1/8th movement over all. I guess I could cut and straighten the pedal a little to put it closer to the floor. Not really touchy, but way different than what I am used to.

My thought was if I drill through the clutch fork...

My thought was if I drill through the clutch fork where the rod normally pivots I could pass the rod through and nut it each side and gain a little more throw toward the bottom of the pedal movement...
