No oil or someone forgot to put the oil pump drive shaft back in when they changed the distributor. You might as well consider the engine a loss at this point.

Your truck has 2 fuel pumps. Each tank has it's own high pressure fuel pump as part of the Fuel Delivery Module. It could be a bad pump or as you and many of us suspect, bad fuel.

It's electronic controlled just like an E4OD, but the design is based off the AOD.

There an adjustment for pressure but it is critical to be very close to factory setting. A small adjustment can be made but tends to effect upshift not downshifting. Still a good idea check it.
