Besides the possibilty of sticky guide pins it is also recommended to flush the brake fluid every 2 to 3 years. Brake fluid is hygroscopic and absorbs moisture. You could have sticking caliper pucks....

When ever using am parts you take that chance. If they don't affect anything the dealer should not deny warranty. Unfortunately some dealers look for excuses to do so.

Your problem was not related to it being an f-150, 250 or 350. It also was not related to being a diesel or gasser. Any used truck that you buy could be subject to this or a myriad of other problems...

No Vacum. You had heat before the engine work and none when the truck came back. Disconnected or broken vacum line or the pump is not running.

I personally have had no problems with the stock...

I personally have had no problems with the stock t-stat but others have. If I lived in a cold climate area I'd probably try the Mishimoto if I was having problems. My 2005 still had the stock t-stat...
