Another alternative is the CPP kit which Mid Fifty sells also. I installed mine in about 6 hours including 2 trips to the auto parts store for PS belts. Link on my website with photos of the install....

Great looking truck, love what you did with the patina. Would have loved to have kept my truck like that but too many previous owners had mixed and matched primer colors all over the truck.

I have a 59A 221 cube block from 48 in my garage....

I have a 59A 221 cube block from 48 in my garage. However it was a replacement block made during the war for an earlier 221 cube. It came out of a 40 Ford pickup.

I got mine from Mid Fifty that have the different size transmission side gears available based on your rear ratio.
