Seems like if the engine is warm, you should still have fuel pressure (regulator/pump should hold pressure for a couple hours), and the oil pressure switch should kick in almost as soon as you start...

I think you should cut a hole in your fender and mount that filter on the outside in a verticle position. Then with a couple of huge stacks, you can pretend to be a big rig! ;)

Since SDs have e-fuel, is the electric pump controlled by the PCM? That might be the only advantage to an SD PCM, but even that is probably not worth it since you easily wire up an electric pump...

Nicks setup should work just like the strickly diesel wiring. Once the key is turned to 'Run' and the GPs come on, so will the pump. If the engine is not started, the pump will shut off with the GPs...
