Can you post the Holly part number for the oil pan you used?
If your truck was not lowered, do you think the truck LS oil pan would work?

What oil pan do you have on the LS? Is the engine mount crossmember that you used like the chevy engine to ford truck crossmember that Mid-50's has in their catalog?

I put an LS in my '49 GMC so...

one type has vacuum at idle, the other does not (it has a vacuum signal that increases as the throttle is opened...

Isn't the problem we were trying to solve how to get more spark advance at idle to see if it solved an overheating problem?

Getting more advance at idle can only be done two ways........
