Coil question

the original coil on My '59 223 is weak. I have one on My shelf from a 1980 300 6 cyl. Could I use the coil from the '80 on My '59??

The tank in the bed is being used instead of the one behind the seat. Bed floor is solid, just surface rust. If it can hold My 200 pound @$$ standing in it, it can handle a full tank of gas :-X22

A demolition derby friend gave Me a tank out of a '96 Town Car I'll strap that down in the bed, run lines to the pump and run off that tank for now

I drained and cleaned i before I put it back in....

I drained and cleaned i before I put it back in. The inside of the tank has bad surface rust, main thing I wanna do, is get it going so I can enjoy it before the snow flies

Bought a $45 Mr. Gasket electric fuel pump...

Bought a $45 Mr. Gasket electric fuel pump yesterday for My '59, bolted it to the frame today,just gotta wire it up,and hook the lines to it. Maybe I can at least drive it once before snow comes

Coil testing question

I want to test the primary and secondary resistance on My coil, to make sure it is not FUBAR.. I have a multimeter, so can anyone tell Me what to do,and what settings to use on My meter, to test?
