Torque converter has to be changed to match the engine, issues relating to the 2V vs 3V computers (beyond my ken).

That would be the fuel pump driver module (FPDM). It is certainly worth checking the condition based on any weird drivability condition.

A semi-common issue is the alternator bearing...

A semi-common issue is the alternator bearing making a high pitched whine when cold (less tan 30F deg). Mine ('06) has done that for as long as I've owned it.
