What years came with the PAT's depends on the years and motor. Give away are the size of the keys and blinking led on dash when not running. None of the 2005 Rangers had PAT's for some odd reason....

It's the same cluster for Ranger/explorer 98-2003 all engines. Requires some re-pinning at connector C-214 and C-216 found behind panel. I'd have to look at wiring diagrams to see which.

Just last week I got both uppers and lowers from RockAuto in the one piece design for my 2000. Look good, have the grease fittings that some don't.

Best info on the earlier Ranger swaps can be found in this write up. Not all that much wiring need spliced. Only the engine harness is affected.

I've always gone by feel, numbers on a spedo mean nothing because of the different rear gears. That has gone for all the different cars/motors I have had.

I know that they do interchange between the Ranger and Explorer from at least -98 to 2003 without a problem. Anti slosh is for the gas tank.
