Dixie460,
Well, that's good to know. I was just gonna disconnect it for all the time, but someone told me it would handle like a pregnant cow on the highway. I have not tried it yet. I was just...

I have a 96 F150 4wd. I would like to be able to quickly disconnect the rear sway bar when going off road. Anybody know of any quick disconnect way of doing this? It flexes the frame too much when...

I have a 96 F150 XLT 4wd flareside. It has the front bumper with the 3 big holes. Anyone know of good replacement bumpers that have good chrome? Wheels I have bought recently have lousy chrome. I...

96 F150 won't steer without revving engine

My 96 F150 4wd 5.0 will not turn the front wheels left or right unless I rev up the engine some. With the engine at normal idle it just won't turn. My 95 F250 4wd 5.0 turns easily at idle. They...

What about the sway bar?

It has suspension and axles from a F250. If the suspension were more compliant, would that help? It has a rear sway bar. If I unhooked the sway bar, would that help?

Thanks all for the info.

Hello. I have a 96 F150 4WD extended cab. When 4 wheeling over VERY uneven terrain I can see the bed move several inches from side to side. Is this normal? Should I try to add stiffeners to it? ...

Best brand for ring and pinion?

I have a 95 F250 4WD 3.55 rear ratio. I want to change the ratio to something else that would be good for slow off-roading over rocks etc (not a rock crawler - just mild off roading). I also intend...

Oops my mistake.

I originally posted it was a 95 F150. I meant 95 F250 4wd. Typo. Sorry. From reading the replies maybe I should try for 35" tires instead.

Ouch

Hmmm. My truck is 4wd and the rear is LS. If I put the small tire on the front so I don't burn up the rear clutches, wouldn't I have the same type of catastrophic spider gear failure on the front...

Hello. I have a 95 F150 4WD. I want to run 37" tires. The spare might have to be a little smaller diameter to fit under the truck in the normal spot. Anybody know if this would cause a problem...
