I have a 390 in my 57 F 600 with a 5spd , I used the origional clutch slave cyl when I put the motor in . If your bell does'nt have the ears to bolt the slave cly a bracket is very easy to fab up....

You could have weak spark caused by points being out of adjustment , a bad condensor , or a weak coil , low voltage at the coil . My money is on the points going shut -- check gap , check copper...
