Exhaust studs tend to rust on them and cause some problems, but that is the only thing other than the normal checks that you should need to do. Same as you would any other vehicle-check/change fluids...

You can run 15-40 in it, but it it was mine I would run 5-20 or 5-30 in it, as that is what is recommended from Ford. I run 5-30 in both of mine with no problems(54,000 and 153,000 miles).
