ball-joint mix up

when installing upper and lower ball joints on a 78 f-150 4x4, what one do you install first. i heard there is some sort'a sequence.

i just bought a 52 for the engine, the dash is in pretty good shape, ash-tray has a clock in it(stock?) i was going to part entire truck out(except engine)soon as i get it out of the farmers field.
