So what did people plow snow with before 4wd was...

So what did people plow snow with before 4wd was widely available? 2wd and tire chains.
There is a fair sized sporting goods store here that plows it's parking lot with a 60's 2wd Chevy 1/2 ton...

Cool truck. I'd leave it as is for a while before you decide. Make it safe and drive it. Maybe you won't want to change anything....

Joe, your truck would handle a light plow with no problem. Some weight in the back and tire chains with that low gearing and you'd be surprised how well it would plow. All street/road dept's around...

Still playing with running boards......got the...

Still playing with running boards......got the right one cut and fitted, trimmed the fender bottom. Decided to put the battery behind the skirt, so I had to build a tray....will access from the rear....

Wondering if you have FRONT wheel cylinders on there instead of rears. They are different. Your brake line should not go in more than 1/2 inch. Look into the threaded port.....is there a small cone...

When the nuts are tight, the tube should not move or turn. New wheel cylinders or old? If old, maybe they have some crud in the threads? If new, maybe the wrong part?

The acid doesn't seem to affect the rough casting surfaces, just the machined ones. Not sure why. I tossed that head that I ruined....or I'd take a pic.
