When you get half way through it and find out what a lot of work and greif it is you can sell all your parts for cheap on craigslist. Your better off with the drivetrain swap as mentioned by Chris.

I think I used a 6 " extension and a wobble...

I think I used a 6 " extension and a wobble socket on mine. Kind of a pain since it's so far down there, with the fat fenders and all.

They fall apart if your not careful pulling it...

They fall apart if your not careful pulling it out. Have a nut handy to put on one of the bolts once you get it out. Also there should be a strap of sorts from one of the oil pan bolts that helps...

I used apple cider viniger and it worked pretty good. Till it froze anyways. I think your going to need a lot of molasses to soak a cab bottom. Might end up with a few deer in the yard too.
