Is your gauge reading correctly? If so, you're good. The coolant temp isn't exposed to the PCM on auto trucks, so AE will never read coolant temp correctly on them.

Rockauto has lots of the camber/caster slugs on clearance right now, but I think I'd still go OEM. If at all possible, measure camber and castor before you start, as you might ID the problem then....
