Speedometer removal 1955 F250

Trying to remove the speedometer cable from my 4 speed sync transmission. It has been there since conception!

Click noise heard in carb and found

1955 F250 Y block 239 V8 OHV


#8 intake push rod fell down. I can't seem to get it out and hope not too much damage is down. I guess it is time to do exploratory surgery.


Any suggestions?

I found the clicking noise. The intake push rod fell down on #8. =(


Old fuel pump was bad. New one works just fine.


Time to operate and do exploratory surgery.
