It's a non-interference engine, run it till it breaks or starts making bad noises. The only time I replace a non-complaining timing chain is if the engine is out for a rebuild.

They're cheaper than the crap ones, especially when you count the labor of doing it multiple times.
Even with the cheap BWD ones from O'Smileys it's $280, the expensive Delphi ones are almost 500.

Did you know- There were a limited number of 400 blocks with the small block pattern as well. I had one that I pulled the crank out of for another engine. I believe it was an early 70s car engine.
