I believe the 460s use a 190* or 195*F thermostat... you won't want to touch anything after the truck is up to proper operating temperature. As long as the temp is registering in the 'normal' range...

The rig has 123,500 miles on it right now and if I was to purchase it for my mom she would probably put about 5k-8k miles per year on it. I'm not too worried about spark...

Keep in mind that with the wider/taller you go, the worse your handling and road feel is going to be.... It's harder to balance a tire with that much more rubber and you will get more sidewall flex...
