I have the exact same problem on my 2005...

I have the exact same problem on my 2005 Expedition. The heated or cooled seats will not work. The indicator lights come on, then quickly turn off when I push the switch.

Really good chance it's the rear-differential speed sensor. About $20 at a Ford house and easier than a sprk plug to change. It fixed mine with the exact problem you describe.
