Carb build should be good. The guy I brought it to said everything looked good on the build, timing was good, and that the ignition system was all good.

Engine popping when under load.

This has been kind of a cluster trying to get everything straightened out the last two weeks. The 400 in the truck I just bought ran and drove great until about two weeks ago I noticed gas leaking...

You can avoid the jungle gym entirely by running the pipes outside the frame rails and bring them back in by the shackles. That way you can still run the pipe out the back over the rear axle.

Looks like some version of a free wheeling package to me. Is the horse painted on or is it a sticker? Maybe if the door has a VIN plate still we can find out where it came from and go from there?

Have you checked that the alternator is connected correctly? If the wires aren't in the correct place it will drain the battery.

I just went out and looked at my other supercab....

I just went out and looked at my other supercab. There's 3 nuts on the back of that trim piece so I dug through the box of clips and stuff from the body shop and found these 6 little clips with nuts...

What screw are you talking about? This piece goes on the absolute very bottom of the cab, any farther and you'd have to attach it under the floor.
