Thanks, I'm just afraid I'll bust it. I'm letting the penetrating oil do it's work and I've moved on to dropping the tranny pan and cleaning up the gasket area. I'll go back to it again later.

Guys, I am having some hard shifting, so reading here I figured I'd pull and clean the VSS first. I removed the bolt, but it does not come off, what is the secret to removing this thing?

Are you talking about clamping off the fuel line? I'm pretty sure that is not the problem as the other tank appears to be empty. If this was the issue wouldnt the other tank be filling up with gas?

Ok, I plan to first replace the FPR. As for the second tank, I have tapped it with a wrench a few times and it sounds empty, so I don't think and I hope it is not the problem.
