One more comment: You might not need it, but someone else does. I took mine off my '66 in an attempt to isolate a problem and it ran the same. I plugged the "air" holes in the heads with brass plugs....

I'm putting a speaker and stock radio in my truck now - I've got the speaker grille in stripper right now. My speaker choice of 5x7 was dictated by the location of the screw holes in the grille.
