The front do have a chrome ring that runs out to help cover the sides of the manual locking mechanism, but do not cover it completely like the rear center caps.

I am not sure of the width of tires...

dirty dog has no listing for remanufactured converters, plus they want core which would involve more shipping costs. Lowest price unit they had was 100 over the remanfactured unit I found on EBay

I know it is a four speed and that it does not have a manual button that allows you to take it down a gear. I did have a 93 with the button.

I am leaning that it is an aode too.

I looked through the converters and realized, that I do no know what type of tranny I have.

This is the second 93 f150 I have owned. The first was an XL this one is an XLT. This one does not...

Isn't that going to be quite a a heavey sucker to try to reinstall? I know when I replaced transmission years ago, I had to twist the tranny this way and that to get it to seat, that with out a 4x4...

I was most concerned about the 4x4 unit as well as the tranny. I have replaced, a tranny and a bell housing before along with the converter, long long ago. I have never however changed out a 4...
