A friend of mine built his intake from thin wall...

A friend of mine built his intake from thin wall square tubing....seems to work pretty good. 261 Chevy 6/with 3-53 blower.

Maybe a double cardan steering joint would help? They can flex up to 70 degrees.....
Or 3 joints with a support bearing? There are multiple header options as well. Take a look at the factory type...

Accessory backup lights were added to cars and...

Accessory backup lights were added to cars and trucks as a safety feature long before they were required by law. A simple toggle switch on the dash was used to activate.

I wouldn't remove the entire door skin, if that's what you are asking. It would be nearly impossible without ruining it. Cut away rusted areas of the flange if needed, repair the inner, then repair...
