Crank, crank, no start..let off the key and it STARTS!

Silliest thing I've seen in a while.
Usually starts in 1 second crank,but noooooo.
let off the key and it starts, everytime within a second or 2.
Starter spins fast, so not like running dead...

My fuel diverter (tank to tank diverter) has a super clogged filter in it so even with good pressure, it simply did not have good...
