I'm surprised it doesn't have a bumpy idle. When I ran my AC single shots without SS tuning it had quite the strange idle.
I personally would get proper tuning, Or keep an eye out for a set of AD's...

I've always ran T6. Generally I run it 8000 miles, a little less if towing frequently.
Blackstone also told me to run it longer than 8000, I just never did with my frequent towing.
