Some cab-n-chassis trucks had 2 1/2" wide springs. They were usually VERY stiff!

Make sure that when you check the front end for worn parts, it is on the ground with the full weight of the truck on it. Don't jack it up and then let it back down either. Drive it straight forward...

Ozium works well to get the dead smell out. Spray liberal amounts everywhere and let it sit closed up 24 hours, then open 24 hours. Don't breathe any in, it will make you sick!

That is real similar to the 4BT Cummins that came out in delivery trucks and some guys are swapping into pickups. A little short on HP from the factory, but easily turned up!

It's probably the speedo drive gears getting worn. Mine did that a while back and that's what I did to fix it.
