front and rear discs, so new m/c and booster... I'm aware of the snowball that this will produce. The fabrication demands arent an issue, just getting the parts and the decision to mod this truck....

axle swap question '48 F4

Ok, so I have the F4 and would consider swapping axles out for sometihng a little more street friendly. I have the chance to buy a set of 3.73 Dodge (dont yell at me yet) 1 ton axles from a '97...

F4 dually axle capabilties....

So as some of you guys have seen, I have the '48 F4 in my possession now. I'm stilltrying to sort out wheels, but thats another topic.. Reason I ask about the strength of the stock rear end however...

i'm in B.C. Canada. The F5 that this guy had had the 20's on it...it got sold to be parted out at a body shop doing a resto on another one. Going to see if I can track the wheels on that one down......

There is a 52 f5 with a flatty v8 that runs for sale here too. Not sure if my buddy is going to pick it up or not. Has a tilt deck as well...just no deck. And its a lot rougher but still not rotted...
