The roll bar, yes if it's substantial enough to serve its purpose not just enough to hold lights.

Absolutely! The power is incredible, and I just went over 300 miles and still have just under 1/2 a tank out of 40 gal. I still need to do a bit of tuning in the fuel dept because it smokes too much...

Ground cables tend to corrode from the inside and can be unseen. I would check your ground cable really good before replacing any parts.

Sorry but I'll bet a 300 six will out tow a 360 FE any day of the week. They might not be fast but they will tow damn near anything and still get good mileage. Torque is the name of the game here.

Just rebuild your 300. You'll be real dissatisfied with the mileage out of a 360. Especially after all the hassle of a swap.
